Is Stokke Tripp Trapp Norwegian for "surprisingly innovative high chair"? A lot of ergonomic consideration went into this thing, which has been filling the eat-in kitchens of Europe since 1972.
The chair is adjustable to fit kids from 6 months (with an add-on baby set) up to 300 lbs. (Which, depending on how many Happy Meals you give'em, is age 10-11.) back and footrests encourage correct posture, and the chair slides right up to the table with you (pluses and minuses with that, of course.)
According to Mumsnet users (um, British mothers?), you don't want the cushions, and you don't want any finish but natural; since it doesn't fold up, you'll be looking at it all the time. But if you're other chairs are lilac, you're in luck: this is the high chair for you.
