Bugaboo, Official Stroller of the NY Art World

We went to see some contemporary art galleries in Chelsea in New York today, and the place was freakin' with Bugaboos. The massive Willem deKooning show at Gagosian Gallery was ground zero: ten, literally, ten Bugaboos and only one or two other strollers, in the space of 20 minutes.

There was one standout among the clones, though. An older couple (early 40's) had a red Frog with a logo that looked more like the sun or the New Mexico state flag than the current 3-ringed version. It was an original European version, he said, that they'd had for a couple of years. In other words, a vintage Bugaboo. [See the logo on this early brochure from "Bugaboo Design."]
